Elders
The elders are called on to be shepherds of the church – serving under Jesus Christ as the Head Shepherd. In this capacity, they are responsible to provide oversight of the various ministries of the church and ensure the accurate teaching of God’s Word. The Elder Council is comprised of both staff and members of the congregation at large.
Deacons
The deacons have been called to serve people of the church, to meet their temporal needs. Each deacon prays for and looks out for the needs of a care group, usually (8-10 individuals or family units). They meet monthly to pray, discuss ways to care for the flock, and disperse benevolent funds (a special offering taken monthly to meet financial needs both inside and outside the church).
